Custom orders will be taken in limited numbers at this time, based on scheduling and availability. After careful planning, I've come up with the number of orders that I can handle each month. Those will be listed on our website, and reservations to fill those slots will be made on a first come, first serve basis. To make a reservation, just schedule a consult with me. This can be done via text, phone call, email, or in person. There will be some variances as to the number of slots we have available each month, based on holidays, vacations, and of course, health and family needs that may arise, but I will do everything within my power to keep things consistent.
Currently, the work team, as far as sewing goes, totals one. Unless, or until that changes, the following turn around times will be in effect:
Quilts: 6-8 weeks from date deposit is paid.
Memory items: 2-4 weeks from date of invoice payment.
I do understand that sometimes things “get away from us.” Birthdays, though they are the same day every year, tend to sneak up on us. Gracious, Easter and Christmas have been known to catch me less than prepared also! However, custom work takes time. If you need me to rush an order, I will need to add a small fee for doing so. The reason for this is that it will cause me to spend extended hours in the studio working to meet your deadline. In other words, I’d rather extend my hours than try to “squeeze” your order into the regular scheduled time. I hope you understand this and appreciate the fact that I value your precious memories too much to handle them hurriedly. I will only rush a few orders each month, so should you need this, please contact me to see if I still have that availability.
Deposits on Quilts
After our consultation, you will receive an invoice with your total purchase price. Before your custom slot is reserved, you will be required to pay at least 50% of your total, with the remaining balance due prior to shipping/delivery.
We charge for quilts based on finished size, so due to their custom nature, the total will not be known until just prior to delivery. However, we will have an estimate available. In this case, you will be required to pay 50% of the estimate with the remaining balance of the finished quilt due before shipping/delivery.
We ask that you carefully decide before placing your order with us. Consults take time. Designing, organizing, and purchasing fabrics take time. Please be absolutely sure that you want to order before you do so.
With that being said, we realize that sometimes things happen we don’t foresee. We get that! Because of this, we will permit you to cancel your custom order within 12 hours of placing it. Keep in mind, this means that no work will be begun until after that time has expired.
Returns and Refunds
Ready-made items(stock on hand), without personalization, may be returned, unopened, in its original packaging, in new condition, within 7 days of purchase. Once the condition of the item has been verified, you will receive a store credit in the amount of the purchase price, less shipping and taxes. Should the condition not meet requirements, you can pay to have it returned to you, or receive store credit for half of the amount paid prior to taxes and shipping.
We want you to be absolutely satisfied with your purchase. We stand behind our products. Should you have any problems with our products, simply contact us and we will gladly make any repairs due to craftsmanship or normal wear and tear. Should repair be required within the first year, we will even absorb the shipping costs. After one year, we ask that you pay shipping to us, and we will pay to ship back to you. If there are damages incurred beyond normal wear and tear, such as repeated machine laundering, animal attacks, wood chippers, etc., we will gladly do what we can to repair, but will need you to pay for the materials required to do so, as well as shipping to and from.
Orders will be shipped from our lake location on Tuesdays.
Pickup and delivery days will vary based on schedule(mine and yours). We are pretty flexible and try to accommodate your needs as much as possible. I have a few people that help me with this, so times are usually not difficult to agree upon.
